Coalition for a Healthy Sioux County
Join the growing number of people in Sioux County who are partnering together to:
*Encourage active and healthy lifestyles
*Remove barriers to health and healthy lifestyles
*Identify chronic health conditions and unmet health needs in the community
Anyone interested in working to improve the health of Sioux County communities is invited to join the coalition. Our meetings are generally scheduled on the first Wednesday of the month at noon at the Community Health Partners Office Building, located at 211 Central Ave NE, in Orange City, Iowa.

Purpose:
Community coalitions provide a way for community members, both individuals and organizations, to join forces to create change within a community. The strength of a coalition lies in its ability to accomplish more than an individual person or organization could accomplish on its own. The ability of a coalition to accomplish its purpose—in this case of addressing health needs in Sioux County—depends largely on how well the coalition works to build capacity in its community. A coalition that has built capacity can continue to create change within a community beyond the life of a particular funding source.
