Preparation and Planning for Bioterrorism Emergencies
After September 11 and the anthrax attacks that followed, Public Health in the United States discovered a need to prepare for a potential terrorist attack. Community Health Partners has a bio-emergency plan that includes monitoring suspicious and contagious illnesses, tracking them, and preventing their spread. Annual drills to practice and improve the response to suspicious illnesses are part of Community Health Partners’ commitment to preparation.
