Infant Massage

Infant Massage training is available and beneficial to all babies under 6 months of age. The focus is on gentle, positive physical contact with the infant and increases bonding and attachment between parent or caregiver and child. Infant massage improves weight gain, muscle tone, sensory sensitivity and improves the disposition of some colicky or fussy babies.

The nurse provides training and written materials to reinforce training to the parent or caregiver. Massagers are guided through a series of massage strokes that end in gentle stretches and cuddling. The cost is $30.00 and most trainings take place over 2 sessions. Follow-up is always available and offered during normal business hours or by appointment.
